It is a very beautiful place.It is the birth place of lot of professionals including doctors,IAS officers etc.This the birth place of the nostalgic singer Brahmaanandan.
Kadakavur railway station is an important station.
Very close to the fishing harbour and angengo forte.
The head quarters of INA association is here.
It is a place with a large area of green paddy fields and back waters.
